Posted on June 23, 2010 Water 2 Wine’s medal count grew to 50 medals after winning four medals at the 27th Annual Lone Star International Wine Competition, hosted by the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association at the Grapevine Convention Center June 7th and 8th.
Nearly 600 wines from around the world were judged in 30+ categories by a panel of restaurant owners, sommeliers, chefs and other wine experts from Texas.
Water 2 Wine was awarded medals for the following wines:
Silver – Rattlesnake Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz
Silver – Washington Cabernet Sauvignon
Silver – Italian Barbera
Bronze – Pacific Northwest Viognier

Posted on April 5, 2010 Water 2 Wine’s recent win of five medals at the 10th Annual Finger Lakes International Wine Competition last month in New York State makes them one of Texas’ winningest wineries. Their medal count now totals 46 and spans coast-to-coast!
The Finger Lakes International Wine Competition is the largest charitable wine competition in North America. Officials said this year’s competition was the first in history to feature wine from all 50 states. Year after year, this Competition draws a diverse panel of the highest quality judges from around the world, and this year was no exception. Fifty-six of the World’s top judges conducted a “blind tasting” of a record number 3,010 entries from over 660 wineries representing 15 countries, awarding medals in over 120 different categories.

In keeping with this year’s Olympic spirit, Water 2 Wine custom winery continues its winning streak by taking home six medals at the 10th Annual San Antonio Wine Festival Competition held January 30, 2010. These six medals bring Water 2 Wine’s medal count to a total of 40.
Five panels of expert judges sniffed, swirled and sipped over 500 wines submitted by wineries from all over the world. Calling on their expertise in writing reviews about wine, restaurant and retail buyers, wine educators and various wine connoisseurs, the judges awarded gold, silver and bronze medals in over 40 different categories.
Water 2 Wine was awarded medals for the following wines:
Silver – Sweet Pomegranate-Zinfandel
Silver – Dry Sherry
Bronze – Italian Barolo
Bronze – Grüner Veltliner
Bronze – Ruby Port
Bronze – Chocolate Raspberry Port

Posted on November 23, 2009 Water 2 Wine custom winery recently added three more medals to its repertoire, bringing its total to 34 medals, when it was awarded a Double Gold for its Rattlesnake Cabernet-Shiraz and a Silver medal for the Italian Amarone at the Houston International Wine Competition! The Denver International Wine Competition awarded the Italian Amarone a Bronze medal last month!
The 5th Annual Denver International Wine Competition is the premier international wine competition in the Rockies, and was held September 12th and 13th this year. Wines were tasted “blind” by a distinguished panel of judges including nationally known wine columnists, wine critics, retailers, food & beverage directors, wine industry members and experienced sommeliers. The judges awarded gold, silver and bronze medals in over 50 different categories.
The 7th Annual Houston International Wine Competition was held November 14-15. This year’s competition boasted thousands of wine entries from over 580 wineries across the United States and around the world. A panel of judges consisting of local, national, and international wine experts awarded medals in 75 different categories.

Posted on March 10, 2009 Entrepreneur Magazine recently recognized Water 2 Wine custom winery as one of the top up-and-coming franchises in the country.
Factors used to determine the list included financial strength and stability of the parent company, growth rate and size of the system. Also considered are the number of years a company has been in business and the length of times it's been franchising, startup costs, litigation, percentage of terminations and whether the company provides financing.
While Water 2 Wine has been in business since 2003, it only began franchising late in 2006. For 2007, the year the rankings were based on, the company had two franchises, not enough to make the top 500, but more than enough to make the list of franchises to watch.
As of February 2008, there were five franchises in place with more scheduled to open in the coming months. Franchises have been opened in Austin, Boerne, Fredericksburg, and Denver, CO. Franchises slated to open in the next several months include: South Austin, Round Rock, Houston, McAllen, and Clovis, CA.
